The warmth of a fireplace brings and wonderful feeling to any home.  Whether the fireplace is used for heat or ambiance, it is a wonderful addition to any home. The many different types of fireplace can please even the most particular person even if it is designed for function and not style.

Decorative fireplace screens serve a purpose beyond design. The screens can stop burning embers from entering the rest of the house.  The can also add a touch of elegance or whimsy depending on the design.

Wood fireplace mantels add a touch of strength and beauty.  The mere massiveness of the wood seems to make everyone understand not only its purpose but also its permanence in the home.

Free standing fireplaces have a modern sleek design that provides the ambiance without work since they are usually easy to assemble. Outdoor kitchen islands add an entire living space to your back yard and make it much more user friendly for entertaining guests.

A vented gas fireplace provides safety no matter what type of fuel is used making sure that the fumes are vented to the outside of the home.  The venting system is also important for pellet burning stoves and wood burning stoves as these are as important in form as they are in function.

To protect your chimney from rain and animals, stainless steel chimney caps are designed to keep the bad things out of your chimney and keep if fully functional.

Wood is the main fuel source of many fireplaces and using firewood stacking racks keeps the wood dry and free of mold and mildew.  It also provides a great place for the wood as it slowly seasons.

In the event of a power outage, wood burning fireplace inserts are not just wonderful sources of heat, but can be used in warming and cooking. Although you will still need to store and handle wood, this is a much cleaner way to burn. Many wood stoves are designed to be very easy to clean, and maintain. There are also many fireplace accessories to make the job easier. Some such as beveled glass fronts are more decorative, but many are very functional.
